The Khoisan Peoples of South Africa – I Schapera

R850.00

The Khoisan Peoples of South Africa Bushmen and Hottentots by Isaac Schapera 1930. This book deserves to be in re-print. The Khoisan Peoples of South Africa is the most precise, concise documentation on the subject of the lost cultures of the Khoisan tribes.
Other early anthropological observations on the subject, such as the Bleek’s diaries are superficial by comparison, perhaps because of vast cultural differences at the time, Khoisan peoples were seen as primitive oddities.
The work of Isaac Schapera represents the last of a cultural legacy and the a true account of our lost heritage.
Highly recommended.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. Reprint 1965 Dust jacket is chipped top, but now covered in a protective cellophane for extra protection .Minor shelf wear on boards. Internally fresh and very clean, apart from a discrete name in ink “Reid Steyn” Complete with several foldout maps, illustrations. See OUROWN photograph for quality control. I beautiful copy indeed
