It has taken less than 10 years to create one of the world’s largest and most diverse collections of locomotives at Sandstone Estates in the Eastern Free State. South Africa. Ironically the founders of the amazing collection are not steam enthusiasts but felt compelled to act when it became obvious that many of the South Africas priceless locomotives both 3’6″2 Ft- Narow Gauge, were being lost. By this time this, this rescue and restorations programme unfolded it had covered the whole of Southern Africa
