The book is bound in the ORIGINAL publisher’s full reddish-brown Levant (sheep or goat) morocco, Boards and spine elaborately stamped in gilt with the thirty tipped-in color plates present. The binding is fairly tight, with light wear to the boards.
The pages are clean with some discoloration to the end-papers.
The book is 110 years old as at 2020.
A lovely copy for a Children’s Book Collector, something to pass down.
