The Worlds Religions Animism – Judaism – Islam _ Hinduism – Shintoism and Confucianism. The aim has been to provide a short factual history, philosophy, and, practice of seven of the great religions of the world. The authors of the various sections are all men who have studied these religions in the counties where they are most widely practiced.
A study of the Christian faith and practice has not been included, partly because the book is intended chiefly for secularization in English Speak countries where there is easy access to numerous volumes dealing with its history and beliefs.
Nor has it been the writers purpose to compare Christianity which they treat. They have sought rather to provide the Western reader with information and to build up as clear a picture as possible of what each “religion”means to its adherents
Hardcover First published in 1950, this is a Reprint (1963) of the third edition of 1955. Tight clean copy, small inscription of previous owners name. Boards Tight. Dust Wrapper slightly shelf worn, but with a protective cellophane cover, looks great( see our picture or zoom in)
