Description
History –Civil War, 1936-1939. Fascinating account by one of the first British volunteers to fight for the Spanish Republic (he was wounded in the invasion of Majorca in August 1936.) Unfortunately Kisch only gives a brief account of his experiences in Spain, but the book is a useful and informative study of grassroots Spanish people during the Spanish Civil War.
